CCOA Christmas Party 2008

Yesterday afternoon was Tyler's Christmas Party at school. Tyler got to meet Santa, we attempted to build a gingerbread house, opened presents and ate lots of yummy treats! Capp and I had a great time and enjoyed watching Tyler play with his friends. We got to witness first hand that Tyler and Jack are in deed the bullies of the Ducks Class. We can't wait for Christmas and are excited for everyone to come in town to spend it with us.

Nine Months Old

Tyler turned 9 months old on December 5th. He's 18 lbs 11 oz, 27 1/2 inches long and in the 20th percentile all across the board. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at our house with my parents, Yvonne and her boyfriend and Capp's mom. With it being Tyler's first Thanksgiving, he of course, was the center of everyone's attention. He got to eat some turkey and mashed potatoes and loved it as you will see in the pictures below. He's quite the little busy body and is curious about everything. He cracks Capp and I up everyday with all of his facial expressions....sticking out his tongue being the newest. Enjoy the pics!

Eight Months Old

Tyler turned 8 months old on the 5th and is sick :( . We just got over our first ear infection and now we have some sort of viral infection. It's that time of the year....hopefully this is it for us. Aside from the recent bout of infections....things have been great! Tyler is pulling up on everything and starting to take a few cautious steps as long as he has something to hold on to. We've introduced him to a few finger foods and he gets most of it in his mouth. Daphne loves it since she gets everything that drops on the floor. Wonder how much weight she's going to gain through this whole process?? He's talking more and more every day....baby talk that is...and every once in awhile I'll hear mama :). We had a great first Halloween as a monkey and are looking forward to the Holidays.

Seven Months Old

Tyler is seven months old today and it's been quite a month. He's crawling all over the place, getting his first tooth, learning how to drink water from a sippy cup and hold his own bottle, he can say "da da"....although he doesn't quite associate "da da" with Capp, is starting to pull up and has learned how to stand up in his crib. Before we know it, he's going to be walking.

Six Months Old

Tyler is six months old today....weighing in at 17 pounds and 26 inches long. Feels just like yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital. Tyler just got a high chair and has started eating baby food....which he can't get enough of. He's also able to sit up on his own and has started crawling. Soon he'll be chasing after doggie....who he thinks is hilarious. As an added bonus....he's finally started sleeping through the night! YEAH!! He's still as happy and curious as ever and always on the move. It's been a great six months!

Tyler's First Vacation

We just got back from our first vacation with Tyler. We spent a few days down in Port Aransas with my parents. As you can see from the pictures......Tyler loved playing in the pool and having the ocean splash at his feet but it was all very exhausting. Aside from all the mosquitoes, we had a great time and are looking forward to our next vacation.

Five Months Old

August has been a crazy month for the Crawford family. Tyler turned five months old on the 5th and I had to have an appendectomy. Being in the hospital and away from Tyler for 3 1/2 days was tough but it was a great opportunity for Capp and Tyler to bond and they are now "boys" as Capp likes to say. Capp's been quite the trooper taking care of me and Tyler and the brunt of the responsibilities. Thankfully I'm finally back on my feet and we're slowly getting back into our routine. Tyler is growing so fast.....he's really keeping Capp and I on our toes. He loves to play and splash around in his bath tub, can just about sit up on his own, likes to go outside with daddy and play fetch with doggie and is still desperately trying to crawl. We go on our first vacation in about a week....yeah! I'll be sure to post a blog when we get back.

Four Months Old

Tyler turned four months old on July 5th and now weighs 15 lbs 12 oz and is 24 3/4 inches long. July 4th weekend was a big weekend for Tyler......he moved upstairs to his room and his big boy crib and started eating rice cereal. He has mastered rolling over from his front to back and back to front and is desperately trying to crawl. He's a very happy baby and really loves to smile. We think he's going to get some teeth soon and will really miss his big, gummy, toothless smile. Here are some new pics.....

Happy Father's Day

Today is daddy's first Father's Day and I wanted to thank him for always playing with me and making me laugh, changing my never ending poopy diapers, not getting upset with me if I accidentally pee on him when I don't have a diaper on, waking up at night to feed me and staying up until I get a good burp and taking and picking me up from school every day. Below are pictures of me and daddy and things we like to do together......
